My Nature's Sunshine Story
I began having some health issues after working for an EPA Superfund clean up site for several years. I was only 35 years old, but felt like I was 80! I was having trouble with my legs, digestive disorders, headaches, sinus and allergy issues, and major brain fog and memory issues, not to mention major depression! It was awful! I tried taking things that my physician told me to take, but I didn't get a lot of relief. What I did get.....was more depressed!
I had heard of an Amish man who was only a few hours drive from me. People said that he had helped them to rebalance their bodies, and that he had helped them a lot. I went to see him, tried the Nature's Sunshine products he recommended, and felt much better within a short time. I was amazed! It was then that I made the decision to become a wholesale member with Nature's Sunshine. After a while, I couldn't stop telling people about how much better I felt! That was when I decided to become a consultant with NSP, and take some courses too.
I am now a certified herbalist who sees clients of my own. It is so rewarding to know that I can help others in the same way that I was helped. There is a funny story about how I got to be known as "The Hippie Herbalist" too. I had a lot of women clients who were coming to see me. They began to tell me stories about what their significant other was saying. They would say, "Are you going to see that hippie lady again who uses all of that nature stuff and weeds?" "Are you going to see that tree hugger lady again?" Finally, I decided if they were going to say that, due to a lack of education about Mother Nature and the fine things she provides for us, that I might as well play the part! The funny thing was, most of the women clients were feeling so much better after a few months, had more energy, and looked better that they had in years; that their significant others noticed that something was very different about them. Then, these men were asking for their wives or girlfriends to make an appointment for them!
In 2007, I qualified for two, for Nature's Sunshine's 35th Anniversary Cruise to the Carribean! My sister and I went on the cruise, and got the chance to meet the greatest company, and the greatest members of the company that we could ever imagine. These people were the REAL DEAL! I truly love this company and the people who are a part of it!
As a certified herbal counselor, I help people to meet their nutritional goals. There are a lot of vitamins and supplements out there in the market place, not to mention a lot of hype. It is sometimes difficult to know which products can help you achieve what your health-related goals are.
